ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. --Today, June 5, 2025 is Michael McAlexander Day.
McAlexander is the Allen County Prosecutor elected in 2022, after serving as Chief Deputy Prosecutor for 20 years.

Mayor Sharon Tucker awarded the proclamation on the same day McAlexander received the highest award from the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council.
McAlexander found out about the proclamation and the award - the John R. Owens Lifetime Achievement Award - at a luncheon for the 48th Annual Indiana Child Support Conference.
It should be noted that McAlexander is also the co-host of the podcast, The Probable Cause, available on Youtube, Spotify and Apple.
The luncheon was held Thursday at the Grand Wayne Center here in Fort Wayne where about 300 prosecutors, caseworkers, judges, attorneys and others in the legal profession converged for a week-long conference.
The Allen County Title IV-D program last year collected $35 million for custodial parents and caregivers, without which their lives would be that much more difficult. The program is run out of the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
The proclamation recognized McAlexander’s achievements in his four decade career.
